Hispano Music & Culture of the Northern Rio Grande
Hispano Music & Culture of the Northern Rio Grande, housed at the Library of Congress’s digital archive America Memory, is a collection of religious and secular music of Spanish-speaking residents of rural Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado.
The collection consists of hymns, folk drama, wedding songs, and dance songs and includes dozens of recordings and transcripts in Spanish. On the homepage of the collection, there are four essays written in Spanish and English that orientate users to the collection, the local culture and the geographic region.
