Reading Photographs: MacArthur and Hirohito

On September 27, 1945, at the beginning of the U.S. military occupation of Japan following World War II, a famous photograph was taken of General Douglas MacArthur and Emperor Hirohito of Japan. MacArthur carefully staged this photograph, keeping in mind his goal to demilitarize and democratize an enemy country.
In the Quiz PDF to the left are four images of each man. Choose the image of Hirohito that you think appeared in the 1945 photograph and then do the same for MacArthur.
