Getting Started
Create a free account at evernote.com and download the desktop client (Windows/Mac) and mobile apps. While web and mobile versions work standalone, the desktop version offers superior functionality including drag-and-drop, live updates, encryption, and local notebooks. Key features include OCR technology that recognizes printed and handwritten text within photographs and images, making scanned content searchable. Notes can be tagged with keywords and organized into labeled Notebooks, and Notebooks can be shared via social media or custom URLs.
