Terrorist Attacks and Organizations

Introductory graphic, Terrorist Attacks and Organizations

Provides basic factual information on 35 terrorist organizations, 24 incidents of terrorism that have occurred since 1979, four terrorists, and six nations that support terrorism. Includes short essays of 100-500 words in length offering biographical and historical information, assessments of strength, sources of support and finance, modes of operation, and location of bases of operation. Provides links to relevant Washington Post and Newsweek stories and related photographs. The site also includes annoying pop-up ads, and it is often difficult to reload a previous page perhaps because of periodic heavy usage of the Post home site. Otherwise, this will be useful to those needing basic historical data about terrorist incidents and organizations.
